Handle:
TSN of TST (The Supply Team) - Homepage
How did you come up with your alias ?
This is very simple my name is Torben S. Nielsen (TSN)
City / Country:
Ferritslev - Denmark
Born year:
I was born in 1963
What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
I think it was a Gamatic 7600 (simple tennisgame in black/white), i don't remember the year
but it must be back in the 1970s, after that Atari, and the first "real" computer was a Mattel intelevision
with 2k (yes two K)
How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
It started when i bought my C64 in 1984-85, i meet a guy(KAZE)in my own town who also had a C64, we started
to swap some games, and we saw logos in the games with crackergroups like DC (Danish Crackers), Sodan etc.
and we saw demos and thought why not try to make something better, so we did, i think the first demo was
KAZEDEMO 2 (1986), after that all the big groups around at that time started to contact us, and pretty soon
after that we was famous, in 1987 i swapped with more than 200 groups! and at that time we had 7 members
me (TSN),KAZE,WIZZ,HAGAR,RAMBONES,FRANY,TRIX (my sweet little helper).
I never left TST, but have been freelance member of BLACK TULIP and, THE LIGHT CIRCLE, beside that many
groups tried to headhunt me, but every time i said no, because my heart always have been for TST, as a matter
of fact the name still exist, i use it in my new business (computer stamp sale: TST-STAMP-SALE)
What was the proudest moment in your career ?
Oh boy there has been many, everytime we was first with new routines never seen on the C64 i was proud, but
maybe it was after we released NO LIMITS (first ever fullscreen sideborderscroll), you should have seen the
response we got, it was huge!! we got letters from almost every group in the world, all of them wanted to
swap or wanted TST to make demos for them
For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
That i gave everyone a chance to swap with me, i never said no the first time somebody wrote to me and wanted
some new stuff, or maybe my drawings, or my demos, i don't know.
What would you like to be remembered for ?
That i was the fastest swapper on the C64 -fastest and biggest seller on AMIGA (more than
3000 disc every month for 2 years)
What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
I stopped 2.5 years ago and started again 2 months ago when i bought my new PC
(Pentium 150 MHZ, i stopped, because it got more and more difficult to get games
to the Amiga, and i made to little money on that
