Interview
Handle:
Kjer of Horizon
Homepage
My name is Kjer, member of Horizon, and active on the old C64. My real name
is Kjell Ericson, so the handle was not so complicated, 8-)
I live in Stockholm/Sweden and was born in December 1970.
My first computer I got was the C64 in 1983. Before that, I had played with
my friends VIC 20 and PET (uuh, I'm old).
I started my 'career' together with two friends (Bagder and Zagor). We had a
group called Consol (Confusing Solution). That was in 1987. Within a year
we had joined SSS (SuperSwapSweden) which merged together with another group
some months later. Then Horizon was made.
I don't know my proudest moment, but I can guess that it was when I first
reached the charts. I remember that I was proud when I came on top of it...
Why I'm remembered? Am I? All I did was coding, so if I'm remembered for
anything, that has to be it.
I made my last demo in 1991. It took too long time to make demos, and I
didn't really felt for making more. I took a step forward and started
serious programming on the Amiga.
What I regret? I don't know. There is no meaning regretting things (and
I'm too old to remember, 8-).
FAVOURITE GAME:
Hat trick.
DEMO:
The "Think Twice" demos
PROGRAMMERS:
All in Horizon.
CRACKERS:
Uuuh, don't know.
COMPOSER:
Bogaloo/Horizon (I could order my own music).
EVENTS AND MEMORY:
All friends and copyparties.
Favourite drink: Anything new, or a cold beer a hot day.
Today I'm working as programmer at Philips. I'm doing security stuff -
encryption cards and modems.
In my spare time I'm doing a text editor on the Amiga - "FrexxEd". I really
can't let go of computers.
To the public and my admires I would ask them to find their old C64. Take
it out in the light and run some old demos and games from 'the good old
days'
Meaning of life? - Have fun!
