Interview
Handle:
JOLO of 1701
How did you come up with your alias ?
Well, the name 1701 came from a monitor for the C64 called 1701.
We had just tried the crack for Cupfinal (a soccer game) and the
number 1103 was written all over the game. We wanted a similar
alias. Later we (I) found out that it was the number on the starship
Enterprice (NCC-1701)
As for the JOLO part, it is the initials of my *real* name.

Gothenburg, Sweden

1966
What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
I think it was back in '83 and it was a Commodore 64. I still got it.
But it doesn't work any more :-(
How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
(The scene?, hmm, that name must have been invented after i got out.)

I don't have a clue. All the games we marked "Copied by 1701" ???
What would you like to be remembered for ?
Se above.
What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
It just faded away. I can't really say that i have stopped compleatly.
I still make copies of games and stuff. Only these days i use CD-R's.

The same thing i've done since i got my C64. Hacking away on my computer.
Is there anything you'd like to say to the public (read: admires)
Well, only that i hate Microsoft and PC clones.
