Interview

Handle: TERMINATOR -/- Homepage

How did you come up with your alias ?
Hmmm! First I want to say to all Terminators out there in the scene that I came up with my alias BEFORE the movie was released in 84? Beat that! I can be wrong, but I think it means the area on the moon between day and night, Light'n darkness?

Now I think my alias is extremely lame and lacking imagination?but I was first and its my name?

- I came; I saw; I fucked up!

City / Country:
I first saw the light in Sundsvall but now I live in Gothenburg. SWEDEN of course!

- I have come here to chew bubblegum'n kick ass? and I'm all outta bubblegum!

Born year:
1970! Yes I'm old. Stop bugging me?

What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
In the big box under the Christmas tree was a powerful computer. The VIC20! I think this was in 83. One year later I went to the local computer store an got myself a Commodore 64.

It was on the C64 I started my carrier as an artist, working with KoalaPaint with a joystick? I did some very basic programming in asm, but it was truly a pain. 1987? My first Amiga. First a A500 and then later on a A2000 and a A4000.

How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
It started on the C64 when a friend(Hi David!) and I started TTC! (The Twilight Crackers). Later on when I got my first Amiga, It did not take long before the phone rang and someone from Vortex 42 wanted me in there group after seeing some of the work I had made in DeluxPaint? Truly great times. Vortex 42 died more or less and we started Phenomena!
A small group with only Swedes, but we somehow got world famous and was on the top on most charts long after we had stopped making demos. Now I am a member of the truly inactive TSL (The Silents)...

- Experience is what causes a person to make new mistakes instead of old ones.

What was the proudest moment in your career ?
I must have been in 87 when I did a picture of a lady face and people thought it was scanned. I never used a scanner or something else during my scene years.

- I didn't know it was impossible when I did it..?

For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
Raping cute animals and killing small children!? No! For being one of the first to make quality graphic on the Amiga?

What would you like to be remembered for ?
Being a friend!

- The main thing is that the main thing is the main thing!

What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
88-89 I and Peter Tuleby (AlienBreed ) started on a game Banzai (cracked, but never released ) and later the game Joyride. I have also worked with Andreas Tadic (Projext X) on the predecessor to Project X, named Proxyan.
Plus a handful of other never released games?

Work, life and stuff. I did do a 3D object of some kind of T-Rex for TBL (The Black Lotus) just some months ago?

Thinking back on the good old days, is there anything you regret?
Great times. I regret nothing!

- The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.

What are you doing on your spare time?
I often hear people talking about that? Spare time! Can you eat it? Where can I get one. (Is it expensive?)
