Interview
Handle:
Reward (Homepage under construction, as it's been for over 2 years)
How did you come up with your alias ?
I was in an english lesson sometime back in 1986 and a friend of
mine wanted to say something like "re-want-to-do-it" but he said
something pretty hilarious instead and I sortaof helped him and
he misheard me and said "to reward it" or something. How this lead
to my handle is still a mystery even to myself though.
City / Country:
Helsinki / Finland
Born year:
1972
What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
I used to borrow a ZX Spectrum from my brother but got my C64
in 1985 I recall. A500 in 1987.
How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
Mainly Scoopex until 1992 and from then on Complex (Amiga and
lately more on the PC)
For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
Hmm, Mental Hangover and sometimes being a bit too drunk at parties.
What would you like to be remembered for ?
For deeply hating badly antialiased non-proportional fonts.
What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
Hmm. About the end of 1991. Got bored I guess, nothing really new was
coming up and I had started at the univ, then went to the army and
well... Sortaof even have made a comeback on the pc demo scene now.
(Strange to see how the old amiga guys are dominating it so easy. ;-)
Thinking back on the good old days, is there anything you regret?
Regretting doesn't make things right so I don't.
