Interview

Handle: Ted

How did you come up with your alias ?
Well, basically I never did come up with an alias and therefore ended up using my name. Stupid eh?

City / Country:
Gothenborg, Sweden.

Born year:
I was born in the glorious year of 1972.

What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
That must have been my ZX Spectrum with the awesome 48kb memory pack. :) Can't recall what year it was though, but it must have been around the beginning of the 80s I guess. Then I had a Commodore 128 but never was into the c64 scene at all and bought an amiga 500 later around the time that machine was released and later upgraded to an amiga 3000.

How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
Hmm, I started off in a group called "Top Swap" when I was taking my first insecure steps into the world of programming and made some parts in a Mega Demo and shortly after left for "The Silents" to stick with them for a while, and then ended up in "Def Jam" where I also did 2 or 3 cracks which really wasn't my thing, and when that group more or less disappeared I was out of that scene anyway, and was more into h/p.

What was the proudest moment in your career ?
Proudest? Can't pinpoint any, but it was nice hearing that people seemed to appreciate the things I did.

For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
To be honest, I really don't think I am.

What would you like to be remembered for ?
Who says I want to be remembered? :)

What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
I guess I grew up, and the final kill most probably was when the police confiscated all my computer equipment for my h/p activites. And this was about 3 years ago now, I had faded away from the amiga scene earlier than that anyway.

Thinking back on the good old days, is there anything you regret?
No, not really, nothing that comes mind for the moment atleast, well that I lost contact with just about everybody I ever knew in the scene.

What was your favorite
GAME(S)
The only game I really played was ... , darn what was the name of that game? Future something? It was some french game anyway, I think everybody was playing it when it came out.

DEMO(S)
Really too many of them! There was a whole bunch of good ones!

PROGRAMMER(S) (OR PROGRAMMING TEAM(S))
Well, I'd say Ackerlight & Wild Copper to that one!

CRACKER(S) (OR CRACKING GROUP(S))
Conqueror! The one and only! :)

COMPOSER(S)
Blazer was amazing, and still is i think!

BEST COMPOSED TRACK(S)
Too senile to remember any I'm affraid.

EVENT(S) (E.G. COPYPARTY)
All of them! And the trips we made to England & Germany especially!

DRINK ?
Gee, give me a long island ice-tea and I'm your pal!

What are you doing nowadays ?
I'm working for a TV production company, not involving computers that much though, just some graphics works sometimes and programming occasionally for game-shows.

What are you doing on your spare time?
I wish I had some spare time!!

Is there anything you'd like to say to the public (read: admires)
Getting deep now are we? Haven't you read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy? Seems like most people who have answered to these questions had. :) No, but seriously, to live long and prosper!

What is the meaning of life?
I really would like to get back in touch with the people I once used to know in the scene. Don't hesitate to drop me a line if you read this, I can be reached at "ted@algonet.se".
